In-Office Professional Peel Protocol

Salicylic Acid, a Beta-Hydroxy Acid (BHA), is a powerful deep-cleansing agent. It dissolves oil, penetrates pores, and removes debris, making it ideal for acne-prone and oily skin. In addition to clearing blackheads and preventing new breakouts, it gently exfoliates aging skin cells, dirt, and buildup from the surface, encouraging new, healthier skin cell turnover.

This fast-acting 1–2-minute treatment delivers visible rejuvenating effects and clearer, smoother skin.

Indications

  • Oily and acne-prone skin

  • Blackheads and clogged pores

  • Superficial exfoliation to stimulate new cell growth

Contraindications

  • Very dry or dehydrated skin

  • Fitzpatrick skin types IV, V, and VI

  • Known allergy to aspirin (acetylsalicylic acid)

Treatment Protocol

  1. Client Consultation & Patch Test

    • Assess the client's skin type, age, medical history, skincare regimen, and any prior treatments.

    • Perform a patch test to ensure there is no sensitivity to Salicylic Acid.

  2. Cleanse & Exfoliate

    • Cleanse the face with Tea Tree Cleanser, rinse thoroughly, and pat dry.

    • Exfoliate using the Exfoliating Scrub mixed with Salicylic 2% Exfoliant, then rinse off completely.

  3. Degreasing Step
Apply Pre-Peel Solution with gauze to degrease the skin and prep it for even penetration of the peel.

  4. Peel Application

    • Pour 1–2 ml of Salicylic 15% or 25% Peel into a glass dish.

    • Use a gauze pad or fan brush to apply evenly to the face, neck, and décolletage.

Avoid contact with the eyes, lips, and inside of the nostrils.
Apply petroleum jelly to areas where the acid should not be applied (e.g., lips, corners of the nose, eyebrows).

  5. Timing Guidelines

    • During the first session, leave the peel on for 1 minute.

    • For future sessions, increase to 2 minutes based on the client’s skin tolerance.

  6. Neutralize the Peel
Use Neutrapeel Solution to deactivate and neutralize the acid.

You may rinse with cold water if needed for comfort.

  7. Rebalance pH
Apply Green Tea Nutri-Toner to restore the skin's pH.

  8. Apply Targeted Serum
Use a treatment serum based on the client’s needs:

    • Oil & Blemish Gel is recommended for oily or acne-prone skin.

  9. Apply Soothing Mask

    • Use a Brilliance Peel-Off Mask to reduce redness and calm irritation.

    • Leave on for 15 minutes, then gently remove.

  10. Hydrate and Repair
Apply a Sensitive Cream to soothe and hydrate the skin post-procedure.

  11. Sun Protection

  • Finish with Anti-Aging Cream SPF 30 for UVA/UVB protection.

Post-peel skin is highly photosensitive—daily sunscreen is essential.
Offer the Anti-Aging SPF 30 Cream (1.7 oz) for home care.

  1. Ongoing Treatment Plan

  • For optimal results, repeat treatment once weekly for 6–8 weeks.

  • Recommend and sell the following home care products:

    • Salicylic 2.5% Exfoliant

    • Oil & Blemish Gel

These are essential for continued improvement and long-term maintenance.
